Islands Community Medical Services, Inc. (“ICMS”) recognizes that you may be entitled to a refund due to an overpayment, duplicate payment received, or additional payment made by an insurance company. If a refund is due, ICMS will first check to determine if you have another open account with ICMS (“Alternate Open Account”) for which a balance is due. If so, ICMS will notify you and apply the overpayment to the balance in the Alternate Open Account. If no Alternate Open Account exists, or there are additional funds remaining after payment of the balance remaining on an Alternate Open Account, the ICMS billing department will issue the appropriate refund to you.
